The Greater Cambridge Shared Planning Service covering Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire is one of the most dynamic and exciting areas in the country and the Service is looking to expand the Enforcement Team.
With high levels of development taking place within Cambridge, the work will focus on the investigation and resolution of issues in relation to unauthorised development and uses. You will investigate cases and prepare formal action and planning reports, on allegations of unauthorised uses and/ or development, with a focus on the Cambridge area. You will also be responsible for the management of two Enforcement Officers.
Good interpersonal skills, empathy and sound judgement are essential in this role. You will need to be organised and self-motivated but also a good team player. We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate an adaptable and flexible approach, a positive attitude, an ability to work on your own initiative and the ability to lead a team of Enforcement officers
The service is currently implementing phase 2 of our shared service which will fully integrate the final parts of the two authorities planning teams with a significant ICT upgrade underway.
